I met Jerry Long when I started in the lumber business in 1995. I met Jerry at Parr and we cruised the yard in a golf cart and he showed off all the units of lumber and asked me what can you sell this week? He was always my go to man for softwoods and no one more generous with his time and wit!

In 2014 I had Jerry as my fishing partner at Pesca Panama and couldn't asks for a better person to fish with. He was kind, consider it, and very funny. We had fished together in Panama 2-3 times but always on different boats but didn't really get a chance to know him like I got when we fished together. One of my favorite fishing moments. A mans man.
