Jerry Edward Long died June 8, 2015 in Alaska doing what he loved, fishing. He was born December 17, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. He resided in San Marcos, California.
Many people have referred to Jerry as a legend in the lumber industry. He recently retired after 23 years from Parr Lumber in Chino, CA having served as Executive Vice President/General Manager. Prior to working at Parr Lumber, he was with Somerville Plywood in Hawthorne, CA for 20 years as their General Manager.
Jerry had a real passion and joy for fishing his whole life. Any chance he had he was fishing with his good friends.
Jerry touched so many peoples lives. He was a loving and generous man, a great father and an exceptional grandfather. He enjoyed life and lived life to the fullest. There are no words express how much he will be missed.
Jerry is survived by a daughter Lesa, a grandson Jerry, and a granddaughter Sheri.
